એક ઉતાવળે ઘોડા ઉપર ચડતા ,પેંગડે પગ પરોવતા યુવક રાજવી,ગોર મહારાજ ને કહે,મ્હારાજ ઝટપટ મને બ્રહ્મ ઉપદેશ આપો, હું ઉતાવળ માં છું,! શુભ કામે જાવું છે…

પેંગડામાં પગ ઘાલવો’ એવું આવતું’તું ભણવામાં.
ટીન-એજમાં એન્ટ્રી થઈ ગઈ, રેઝર લઉં કે પપ્પા ?

યાદ આવ્યા સદાબહાર – ચંદ્રકાંત બક્ષીસાહેબ
આપણી મહાન ગુજરાતી સંસ્કૃતિમાં આ ‘વન ફોર ધ રોડ’ માટે અસ્સલ ગુજરાતી શબ્દપ્રયોગ છે. બાપુ! એક ‘પેંગડા છાક’ થઈ જાય. થાવા દો. છૂટા પડતી વખતે ઘોડાના પેંગડામાં પગ હોય અને એડી મારતાં પહેલાં એક છાક (પેગ) પી જાઓ એ થયો ‘પેંગડા છાક.’ આ પેંગડા છાક શબ્દમાં જે મજા છે એ ‘વન ફોર ધ રોડ’માં ક્યાં છે?.
