કબર પાસેથી તું ગુજરે એ આશામાં જીવે છે લાશ.

તરત તૂટી ગયું એ પણ, ઉઠાવ્યું મેં જો સુક્કું પર્ણ;
હું સુક્કો એટલો, જોઈ મને લાજી મરી પીળાશ.

ધધકતાં કષ્ટ, કાળી રાતનું એકાંત, અંગત વાત;
સવારે એક ગોળો સૂર્ય થઈ સળગ્યો કે પર્દાફાશ !
